  2. Tres Hombres Band: Billy Gibbons - Guitar, Vocals Frank Beard - Drums Dusty Hll - Bass, Vocals Before ZZ Top was a band of fuzzy guitars and synthesizers. They were a raw blues-rock band out of Texas. They somehow always took their Texas background wherever they went, and brought it to their music.

"Before the bombastic ZZ Top of the late 70s and 80s, there was the lo-fi fuzzed out blues of Tres Hombres," he continues. "Its crisp, dry drum sound and tight fizzy guitars are everything we love, and to us the production sounds.
  7. This is my personal favorite ZZ Top album, thankfully remastered in it's original form (minus all of the synthetic crap added on the Six Pack remixes and not fixed until ). purchased "CINCO" their first 5 album's box set and like one reviewer has mentioned there was a white mark on the vinyl Tres Hombres side 2 on the track La Grange /5().
  8. I know it's academic, but if La Grange had been featured somewhere on side one, perhaps in place of Hot, Blue and Righteous, that would be my candidate for the single greatest side of rock music ever recorded. As it stands, Tres Hombres is right up there with the best blues-rock albums ever made. I'll share a memory, if I may/5().
